MyTCM (mytcm.ca)

Is MyTCM right for my clinic?

MyTCM is Canadian EMR software built only for TCM and acupuncture clinics. It is a good fit for some clinics and the wrong choice for others, and this page says which is which.

MyTCM is a good fit if

  • You run a TCM or acupuncture clinic in Canada and chart in Chinese, English or both.
  • You have several practitioners or staff at one location and do not want to pay per person.
  • You want to own your patient database rather than rent space in someone else's.
  • You want direct, same day support from a person on WhatsApp.
  • You want diagnosis and treatment pairing that suggests acupoints and herbs without building presets first.

Pick something else if

  • You need MSP, TELUS eClaims or other insurer billing working this month. MyTCM bills ICBC today, and MSP and other insurers are being added.
  • You run a multi-discipline clinic (physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage) and want one system for every practitioner.
  • You do not chart in Chinese and do not need TCM patterns, tongue and pulse fields or herbal formulas.

See the side by side comparisons for how MyTCM stacks up against Jane, Zanda, Unified Practice and others, including where each one wins.

Frequently asked questions

Who is MyTCM for?

TCM practitioners and acupuncturists in Canada, from solo clinics to clinics with several practitioners at one location. It is built only for TCM and acupuncture, not for every type of clinic.

How much does MyTCM cost?

Single License is $56 a month for 1 address and up to 5 users. Site License is $99 a month for 2 addresses sharing one database and up to 10 users. There is a one-time $100 setup fee and a 30 day free trial. Clinics with 3 or more addresses apply for an Enterprise licence.

Which insurers can MyTCM bill today?

ICBC billing works today: every license can submit by email through MyTCM, and Site License clinics also get an ICBC web portal account. MSP and other insurer integrations are being added.

Where is my patient data stored, and who owns it?

Your clinic owns its own database, set up on accounts in your name, and it is stored in Montreal, Canada. MyTCM accesses your clinic's systems only as the Data Processing Agreement you sign before set up allows, and only to set up, update, repair and support your clinic.

Can I chart in Chinese and still give insurers English records?

Yes. MyTCM supports Mandarin and English voice dictation and produces a Chinese to English SOAP clinical report. The interface is available in English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.

What if I am moving from another system?

Book a demo and tell us what you are moving from. We will explain how your patient records come across during onboarding.
