MyTCM vs Noterro for acupuncture and TCM clinics in Canada
2026 pricing and feature comparison. By Oscar Poon, founder of MyTCM.
The short answer
Noterro is a low-cost practice management product with TELUS eClaims on its top tier or as a $15 add-on on Core. Its Core plan is cheaper than MyTCM's $56 a month for one practitioner, but Noterro charges for each extra practitioner while MyTCM covers up to 5 users at a location. Noterro offers a 14 day trial with no card.
What each one really costs
Noterro prices by clinic with a per-practitioner charge on top, and the tier you need depends on whether you bill insurers electronically.
| MyTCM | Noterro | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry plan | Single License, $56 a month | Core, $33 a month |
| Adding practitioners | Up to 5 users at 1 location for one flat price, no per-practitioner fee | $13.20 (Core), $22 (Plus), $27.50 (Max) for each extra practitioner |
| Insurance billing today | ICBC available today (email on every license, web portal on Site License). More insurers and MSP are being added | TELUS eClaims: $15 add-on on Core, included on Max at $77 |
| Appointments | Unlimited appointments | Not limited on the pricing page |
| One-time setup fee | $100 | None published |
| Free trial | 30 days | 14 days, no card |
| Patient file uploads | 10 GB included per clinic, up to 100 MB per file, stored in Canada | Included on Plus and Max, 50 MB per file. Extra storage $5 a month per 5 GB; included amount not stated |
Noterro prices are as listed on its pricing page. Noterro's FAQ says Canadian clinics are billed in CAD; confirm the currency at checkout. Annual billing saves 15%.
Anyone can build an EMR with AI. Solving day-to-day clinic problems requires real clinic management experience.
A chart, a calendar and an invoice are the easy part of clinic software. What makes practitioners choose MyTCM is that it was designed around the specific problems of a TCM clinic, so each one takes a fraction of the time and effort.
Oscar Poon, MyTCM's founder, is in the process of becoming certified as a CIPP/C, the Canadian privacy professional designation. He has not passed the exam yet. He also spent 10 years managing 3 acupuncture clinics, and that experience shaped how every part of MyTCM works.
